What are the random numbers that appears sometimes on the TV screen?

These numbers are part of the anti-piracy measures taken by the channels. I will tell you how it works:

(1) The number that appears on your TV, using some hinging algorithms, is generated for each region.

(2) This number has been tampered with random places in the video stream, so that it can be removed using the video processing algorithm.
